Overview

The meeting aims to bring together interested stakeholders to discuss the experimental programme of ANURIB – VECC's proposed facility for Applied and Nuclear Research using Rare Isotope Beams that is being planned at our new campus in Rajarhat, Kolkata. As an outcome of the meeting, the organizers shall prepare a report outlining the experimental beam-lines and utilization of ANURIB. 

Eminent speakers will discuss current research and future directions in the area of Exotic Nuclei, Rare Isotope Beams and their applications. 

The following themes covering basic and applied research using RIB/stable isotope beams and beams of protons, positrons, neutrons and gamma-rays that will be available from the driver accelerators will be discussed in the meeting:

  • Nuclear physics
  • Materials science/atomic physics
  • Radiation biology/chemistry and interdisciplinary studies

The meeting will be held in Hybrid Mode. 

Participants including scientists from Indian laboratories/universities, young researchers & students are expected to attend the event in person. However,  international speakers will join us online via video conferencing.
