How to reach VECC:
By Air:
VECC is about 12 kms from the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. Pre-paid taxi booth is located near the exit of the airport lounge from where you can book the taxi to "Sector-1, AF Block, Saltlake". You can also book an Ola/Uber for which there is a dedicated taxi lane. The approximate fare is Rs. 200-250/- (excluding surge pricing). One can also take volvo AC bus, VS2 (approximate fare Rs. 35-40/-), and get down either at Kestopur or Dum Dum park bus stop. If you are getting down at Kestopur, then take the footover bridge to come to salt lake. VECC is about 10 mins walk to your right. If you get down at Dum Dum park then walk for about 10 mins to reach the dum dum park footover bridge, and come to salt lake. As you get down the bridge, you can see the VECC main gate towards your left.

By Train:
The nearest railway stations are (1) Howrah (HWH), (2) Kolkata (KOAA) and (3) Sealdeh (SDAH).
Pre-paid taxis are available at all these stations. You can avail a taxi to "Sector-1, AF Block, Saltlake" to reach VECC campus.
From Howrah Station, the prepaid taxi costs about Rs. 180-230/- (excluding surge pricing). You can also book an Ola/Uber from the parking near Indian flag. Some buses (S18, 38B, 215A, 71 and mini buses) are also available (Nearest Bus stop: CAP camp or Baisakhi). Alternatively, you can take non-AC/AC buses heading towards the airport and get down either at Dum Dum park or Kestopur bus stand. The approximate fare is Rs 10-15/- for non-AC bus and Rs 35-45/- for AC buses. If you get down at Dum Dum park, then cross the road and walk in the opposite direction for about 10 minutes till the footover bridge. Using the bridge, come to salt lake. As you get down the bridge, you can see the VECC main gate towards your left. If you get down at Kestopur, then cross the road using the underpass, then take the footover bridge to come to salt lake. VECC is about 10 mins walk to your right.
From Sealdeh station, you can either take a prepaid taxi or an Ola/Uber, the approximate fare being Rs. 180-200/- (excluding surge pricing for Ola/Uber). Alternatively, one can take a suburban/local train to Bidhan Nagar (fare Rs. 5/-) and take an auto to CAP camp (fare Rs 20/- on shared basis and Rs. 100-120/- if reserved). VECC guest house gate is about 5 minutes walk from CAP camp roundabout.
