Competitions

It is our pleasure to inform that Variable energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata is hosting 35th DAE Safety and Occupational Health Professionals Meet jointly with Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) during November 27-29, 2018 at VECC, Kolkata.

As a part of the proceedings of the meet, competitions on the theme of the meet are being conducted for the employees of all DAE units to have maximum participation and involvement. In this perception, all unit heads are requested to kindly publicize widely in their respective units about the safety competitions as per the guidelines attached below:

Guidelines for logo, poster, slogan and cartoon competitions

Themes:

Leadership and Management of safety” & “Requirement and challenges in health management-pre/during/post employment”

The following competitions will be based on the above themes:

1. Logo competition (logo should be created based on the theme) (Note: If any logo is selected finally for the meet, Technical Program committee may slightly modify the logo to suit the theme if required)

2. Poster competition (A2 size i.e. 420mm x 594 mm in portrait form, chart paper, coloured poster, or pencil sketch. A maximum of five colours may be used while making posters. Posters should be titled/captioned with a slogan having maximum ten words.

3. Slogan competition (within 20 words in Hindi/English/Bengali) (Slogan should be a phrase or combinations of words with a rhyme, to express awareness or caution and must have educational or motivational potential)

4. Cartoon competition (in B & W, max A3 size i.e. 297mm x 420mm, self explanatory)

Note: All DAE employees are requested to submit their entries through the competent authority or through their authorised representative. Each unit of DAE will be given an user name and password on request to the address sohpm2018@vecc.gov.in. The unit representative will register with that username and password and then uploading can be done. All the entries should be uploaded in pdf format into the website of this meet. Minimum dpi will be 1200.

Authorized user from each unit may login here to upload the contributions. The "submit new abstract" button at home page may be used to upload the contributions.

Prizes will be awarded to three best entries of each of the above competitions for logo, poster, cartoon and slogan. Consolation prizes may also be awarded for each category depending on the number of entries.
